Goals can be Accomplished

I try to keep my goals in life the first concern for me. My teacher for personal finance told us that if we can dream it and do it we can accomplish it. Life is hard... trust me I know. I used to be an outcast and failed at every thing. This year I made my goals to pass everything and gain my parents trust back. Finals are now here and I got 3 A+'s and one B on them. I got three more finals to do... all my grades are way up and I plan to keep them there. People wonder how I can do high school, college and a job and still get sleep and good grades. I tell them I made myself goals to pass everything and I made myself a mental notes and pointers...
1. do the assignment as soon as it is assigned
2. don't wait until the last minute to do the work
3. set a bed time to go to sleep every night
4. have your job work with your life and not control your life... like a part time job
5. if you don't understand something ask.... is does not hurt to ask.
6. when bored and nothing to do.... study and not play video games
7. get the work you missed
8. find something that will help you to concentrate better. (example: listening to music while working)
9. see if you can get homework or projects early if you know you wont be there or busy
10. talk with your teachers to help you figure out how they can help you when you need it.
11. always plan ahead
12. take online classes when you know you have a crazy life style going as in high school and work so you can do it on your time.
13. school comes first before everything.

Little story on how I lost someone I hardly knew but cared dearly about...

His name was Keith and even though we never talked or spoke out in public, we became best friends. We kept the whole fact that we were friends because of the high school drama and rumors that float around. He was bisexual and had no one there to help. He found my email on Facebook and emailed me on advise and calming words to help him and just to have someone to talk to and listen. He told me all the rules and laws he broke and how scared he was to let anyone know about him and his sexuality. We spoke every day through email and text. When he finally spoke the truth he lost his friend and the respect of his parents. His father threw him out and the first person he came to was me.
He was in a deep depression and wanted to end his life. I can't remember how many times I sat next to him and calmed him. When I left for training he went down a bad road. Got hooked on drugs and braking the law. The week I was gone he hurt everyone who cared about him and want him to survive the nightmares of life. The day I got back I went back to school and I got a call from his mom telling me he was in the hospital and wanted to see me. I skipped school and went there. When I got there he kept saying he was sorry for letting me down and that he loved me. Then he slowly closed his eyes and passed away right there in front of me. His name was Keith. He was a father, son, husband, and best friend. November 18th 2010
Keith you will always be in our hearts forever.
